Michael Driver is a criminal defense attorney based in Durham, North Carolina. His practice focuses primarily on serious offenses such as assault, robbery, drug charges, rape, and homicide.

Michael Driver is a graduate of Duke University and earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University. Practicing criminal defense since 1994, he has been an assistant public defender in both Durham and Greensboro. As a public defender he represented clients charged with offenses ranging from simple assault and drug possession to robbery, drug trafficking, sex offenses and murder. He has been in private practice since 2002, putting his experience to work for clients facing serious charges. Michael defends clients in both state and federal court. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, where he served on the Forensic Task Force Committee.
